The Pulsar is a zero-bypass brewer designed by astrophysicist Jonathan Gagné — yes, that Jonathan Gagné, the guy who literally wrote the book on the physics of filter coffee. So, naturally, he decided to build a coffee brewer that lets you obsess over all of it.

What does that mean!? It means an almost ridiculous amount of control over what happens between your coffee, water, and cup. The lever-operated valve lets you steep and release exactly when you want, the drip screen gives you control over agitation, and the zero-bypass design means you can really fine-tune extraction without water sneaking around the coffee bed.

It can look a little intimidating at first, but it really doesn't have to be complicated. You can start with a simple recipe, make a great cup, and leave the spreadsheets for someone else. But if you want to dive deeper, the Pulsar has enough control and versatility to grow right along with you.
